    The only international airport of Bhutan is located in Paro, which is well connected by regular flights from Kathmandu in Nepal, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bagdogra, Gywahati, and Gaya in India, Dhaka in Bangladesh, Bangkok in Thailand and Changi in Singapore. Most tourists first fly to Paro, and then drive to Thimphu. Covering a distance of nearly 54 kilometers, it usually takes you about one and a half hours to transfer. This proves to be the most convenient way to get to Thimphu.

  • 2. When is the best time to plan Thimphu holidays?

    Generally, the best time to go for a Thimphu tour is spring and autumn. Lasting from March to May, the spring Thimphu has an average daytime temperature of 17 degrees. Beautiful rhododendrons bloom in spring and there is a Rhododendron Festival held in every April in Thimphu.
